On December 12th, the University of Georgia hosted a public lecture on “Basque Healthcare System – the Sustainable Design” - organized by the School of Health Sciences and Public Health.

The guest speaker was the Professor of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Department of the Basque University (Spain) Mr. Diego Rada Fernandez de Jauregui, who has a long and fruitful experience of participating in health research projects of Canada and the EU.

Following topics were discussed at the lecture: the state health care system, public health arrangements, strategic plan, social programs and budget.
